Matthieu Blazy, Miuccia Prada and Jonathan Anderson: these are the most influential designers of the moment according to the new Lyst Index, the quarterly report that ranks the hottest brands and products. Chanel has been sitting at the top of the rankings for months, while Miu Miu, after losing two positions in the previous quarter, has returned to second place, overtaking Saint Laurent and Dior. Replacing Cos this time is Massimo Dutti, a brand belonging to the Inditex group that, thanks to refined design and accessible prices, has managed to gain ever-greater relevance.
The real stars? Creative directors
The second quarter of 2026 is not all that different from the first. The Lyst Index is still dominated by brands with strong creative direction, but this time there is an added element: the success of the most coveted products — aided by the heat — follows the season. Resort collections, summer accessories and lightweight pieces represent a "ready-to-wear" wardrobe concept. The numbers confirm this, as in the case of Chanel, which continues to benefit from the "CC-craze" effect of its Resort, Coco Beach and Haute Couture collections, with searches for shield sunglasses up 70% compared to the previous quarter.
Miu Miu climbs two positions thanks to a 30% increase in searches, driven by crochet bags and its collaboration with New Balance. Among the fastest-growing brands on the minimalist front is Massimo Dutti, which gains eight positions and records a +43% surge in searches, boosted by a wardrobe with a Mediterranean aesthetic that perfectly meets the season's needs. Phoebe Philo makes its debut in the rankings (+29%), confirming the appetite for sophisticated minimalism, while Celine grows by 31% thanks to the arrival of Michael Rider's new creative direction.

Topping the most-wanted products chart for Q2 2026 are accessories designed to be worn right away, including jelly shoes, followed by sandals, oversized sunglasses and lightweight pieces. Skims' jelly shoes claim third place, Chloé's jelly loafers take fifth, while Gucci and Massimo Dutti bring heeled flip-flops back into fashion, proving that even the simplest style can become a must-have — especially as temperatures continue to rise and people have less and less desire to spend time on styling.
An honourable mention goes to the most-searched product of the quarter, which — take note — does not even belong to the world of luxury: it is the New York Knicks cap, with a staggering +4,276% in searches. A figure that confirms how sport is no longer merely an aesthetic reference, but a driving force in contemporary fashion. From the NBA to Wimbledon, through to collaborations such as the one between adidas and Willy Chavarria, sporting events continue to influence what audiences desire — sometimes more than the runways.
