The brand symbol of most young subcultures continues to celebrate the "top wheels"

The long love affair between Fred Perry and the biking culture The brand symbol of most young subcultures continues to celebrate the top wheels

Fred Perry's passion for the biking universe is a long-term love affair. The British historic sportswear brand has confessed its interest in this sport, and the subculture around it, for years by dedicating it several t-shirts collection who combine the technical qualities of Fred Perry with biking aesthetic.

The collection SS11 Cycling Blank Canvas collection is a proof. A range of four vintage-like t-shirts who recall the details of the typical bike shirts, combined with the iconic honeycomb fabric of the brand and a zip in the front like the 60s sporty shirts. Following the success of that first line, the year after, in 2012, Fred Perry has decided to renovate this liaison with a new Cycling Blank Canvas collection. This time it's a range office t-shirts who repeat the winning concept of the previous collection, but by changing the patterns – polka-dots, stripes, and a new colors combination. In addition, there were also a nylon jacket, a pair of sneakers with perforated upper and a messenger bag.

All of this to say – if there's still any doubts – that Fred Perry is a leading name of sportswear scene. Its polos has been, and still are, a sign of recognisation among many underground young cultures and its logo – the little laurel wreath – is the symbol of quality and membership. And so, even the. union between Fred Perry and the biking world could do no wrong. Better, it continues until today in the best way. Fred Perry is the voice of the biking spirit by combining the aesthetic and the technical needs of this sport with the key elements who have made this brand famous.

And to celebrate the union between Fred Perry and the biking world, sunday May 21 the brand will host the event “My Patch Ride Out” in Bologna – you can check the event HERE. Take your bike and come!
