If you are already depressed by the end of Game of Thrones, HBO thinks about raising your mood a bit by announcing the release of a documentary about the eighth season. Entitled Game of Thrones: The Last Watch, the feature will be directed by Jeanie Finlay and in two hours will reveal secrets about the cast and crew and show the backstage of the latest episodes of the most beloved fantasy TV series. More than a simple making of, HBO explains that the documentary will offer

"...a funny, heartbreaking story, told with wit and intimacy told with wit and intimacy, about the bittersweet pleasures of what it means to create a world – and then have to say goodbye to it." and will dig "delves deep into the mud and blood to reveal the tears and triumphs involved in the challenge of bringing the fantasy world of Westeros to life in the very real studios, fields and car-parks of Northern Ireland".

The Last Watch will air on HBO next May 26th, exactly one week after the conclusion of GoT. The grand finale of the show is scheduled for May 19th with an episode lasting about 90 minutes. The countdown started.
