Louis Vuitton has chosen the former Garage Traversi, just a stone's throw from Piazza San Babila, to open the doors to its new Milan location. The new space in Via Bagutta is spread over three floors: the ground and second floors are dedicated to retail, while the second floor is for the house's special projects. The calendar alternates between immersive pop-ups and exhibitions with artistic and cultural ambitions.

Even the colours are distributed according to a logic that reinforces the chromatic contrast with the palette of the original structure: an intense shade of yellow to fuchsia on the ground floor, dedicated to women's collections, while deep light blue dominates the second floor, dedicated to men's collections. In addition, the project envisages enhancing and at the same time protecting the original 1930s architectural box by using a curved wall system that exposes the monumental concrete compartments. Customers will be invited to a unique shopping experience where, surrounded by vintage furniture from the Italian design heritage, works of art, objects from Louis Vuitton's historical archives and unparalleled artisanal savoir-faire, they will discover the Louis Vuitton heritage through the complete range of leather goods, travel items, textiles, watches, jewellery, accessories, fragrances, women's and men's shoes.

Coinciding with the global launch of the Louis Vuitton x Yayoi Kusama collection, the House celebrated the opening of the new Milan space dedicated to special projects with an incredible immersive installation inspired by the Japanese artist's art and her recurring motifs, such as her obsessive, repetitive polka dots that litter all surfaces, offering visitors a unique, dystopian experience. Surrounded by the Infinity Dots pattern of yellow and black polka dots and the Metal Balls, the maxi metal spheres in which the room is reflected, they multiply endlessly. Inside the room, the products resulting from the collaboration between Louis Vuitton and Yayoi Kusama were presented, underlining the importance of craftsmanship and excellence: handbags, shoes, men's and women's fashion, sunglasses, fragrances and jewellery, almost all Louis Vuitton's universes are imbued with the Japanese artist's motifs and ideas of infinity.
