How adidas celebrated SUPERSTAR together with Davide Di Lernia in Milan From the customization workshop to the party that enlivened the evening
The new FW25 season has finally begun and adidas Originals has kicked off a series of celebratory events for its iconic Superstar shoe, a symbol of a heritage that unites sport, art, and streetwear. The most recent is the Milan event held last Wednesday at the brand's store on Via Tocqueville, which became a moment of true interaction with the community, centered on creativity and personalization. The event saw the store come alive thanks to a three-dimensional window display curated by Davide Di Lernia, a talented Italian customizer and designer born in 2000 from Barletta in Puglia, who, for adidas, created an installation inspired by his creative approach, centered on essential symbols like a needle and thread, which evoke the artisanal craft at the base of every personal transformation.
In the afternoon, the workshop guided by the same Di Lernia was then held. Open to a limited number of adidas community members, the workshop saw participants customize the tongues of their own sneakers, shaping and decorating them with custom details ranging from minimalist engravings to more lively patterns. The day then closed beautifully with an informal party that went on until early evening. Here, the adidas community, made up of collectors, emerging artists, and simple enthusiasts, gathered to toast the intersection between art, music, and sneaker culture. The soundtrack, curated with playlists ranging from classic hip-hop to contemporary beats, recalled the heritage of the Superstar, adopted by generations of musicians and skaters from the 70s to today.
The party was the perfect occasion to celebrate the brand's new FW25 collection, starred by a campaign featuring Rose Villain and Moise Kean. And it wasn't just a mere party: it was an opportunity for networking, with Di Lernia at the center of conversations, available for advice and souvenir photos. Those who couldn't participate can still relive the essence of the event by visiting the Flagship Store or exploring the online collection, where the Superstar continues to embody the idea of timeless originality.
