The second chapter of the collaboration between Emporio Armani and Our Legacy Work Shop
And this time there is also womanswear

After the success of their first capsule collection, Emporio Armani and Our Legacy Work Shop are teaming up again with a new collection for the SS25 season. A project that renews the encounter between sartorial heritage and contemporary experimentation, and also introduces womenswear, which was absent from the first collaboration but did include some unisex items. This second collaboration is rooted in the Emporio Armani archive, featuring the use of original fabrics and finishes reinterpreted through the sharp, ultra-modern aesthetic of Our Legacy. But the collaboration went further: some pieces are actually faithful reproductions of vintage Armani fabrics, developed specifically for the project. “I love things that age well, that don’t go out of style and that stand the test of time both in terms of quality and style” said Giorgio Armani in a statement to the press. His words are echoed by Cristopher Nying, creative director of Our Legacy: “Working with what already exists is a challenge but also an opportunity. These fabrics carry a story, and seeing them come back to life in new forms made the entire process unexpectedly rewarding.”
The campaign, shot by Alasdair McLellan, is set in Pantelleria, a volcanic island in the heart of the Mediterranean and a personal retreat for Giorgio Armani. While the collection draws partial inspiration from traditional East Asian clothing, with garments like the Sciovolo shirt, which features a collarless design, or the interior details of the Ampolla blazer, adorned with stylized motifs. The key piece is the Toga Coat, a reimagined kimono-style garment that served as the starting point for the entire design process. Other elements, such as bathrobes and slippers, evoke a summer holiday atmosphere, conjuring the slow pace of sun-drenched days in total disconnection. Some silhouettes from the first collection return in new variations, while the cat graphic from the previous collaboration reappears in select prints and even on a deck of playing cards designed as the final touch to a relaxed summer travel kit.
