National Geographic presents its first ever apparel collection Urban tech and sustainable

After the collaborations with Element and The North Face, National Geographic makes its debut with its first-ever apparel collection.

The proposal for the SS20 includes essentials such as t-shirts and parkas, but also cargo pants, padded vests, hoodies and sweatshirts, many of which feature the magazine's logo and quotes on environmental issues such as Global warming. Some of the most interesting items are parkas and duvets: the hooded field jacket, the Pack Tech jacket and the Re-Developed jacket, all featuring large pockets and numerous adaptable details, including zips and pull tabs. Functional design and urban tech influences are combined with great attention to materials. The new Nat Geo products are eco-friendly, made of recycled fabrics. For example, sweatshirts, t-shirts and the Adventurer jacket incorporate "sustainable cotton" and reduced-impact garment-dying; while the filling of the jackets replaces goose down with a lining entirely recycled from PET plastic bottles.

The collection will arrive on the Corem website in the coming weeks and the proceeds from product sales will go in part to support National Geographic Society projects.
