Christopher Raeburn appointed Global Creative Director for Timberland Plus launches the new collaborative collection

Update: Timberland has appointed Christopher Raeburn as their Global Creative Director. The new role underlines Timberland commitment to creating products responsibly and with an increased use of recycled, organic and renewable materials. Raeburn is also a spokesman for strong craftsmanship, innovation, and sustainability as central elements of his design philosophy, once again creating a natural and authentic connection with Timberland. As creative director, Raeburn will work with the Timberland team of products, marketing, and innovation on a global scale in order to offer forward-thinking and boundary-pushing designs while still paying tribute to the outdoor heritage of the brand. Raeburn will work closely with each team to create a collection of shoes and apparel, with accessories that promote the goals for the brands' change. The first complete collection under the guidance of Raeburn, both man and woman, will arrive F/W 2020.

During Bread & Butter by Zalando in Berlin last month, global outdoor and lifestyle brand Timberland unveiled its FW ’18 men’s apparel collaboration with British designer Christopher Raeburn. Raeburn, whose label of the same name is synonymous with responsible, intelligent fashion design, first teased the project at Men's London Fashion Week in June.

Raeburn’s design ethos encompasses three key pillars – REMADE, REDUCED, RECYCLED – which complements Timberland's longstanding commitment to making products responsibly and steadily increase its use of recycled, organic and renewable materials over time.

“Timberland’s goal is to bring the brand’s purpose to life by creating responsible products in an innovative and forward-thinking way. We’re excited to collaborate with Christopher Raeburn to showcase this unique, modern take on some of our most iconic apparel styles – all within the context of Christopher’s responsible design ethos.”

Argu Secilmis, Vice President of Global Marketing for Timberland

The 11 limited edition styles will be exclusively available in selected retailers while the 17 mainline styles will have a broader distribution and will also be available on the Timberland site.
