MEET offers 10,000€ to the best five Milan's digital creatives You have until January 31st to sign up

Digital is the new frontier of art and creativity. Artists such as Filip Custic and Nik Ainley have found fame thanks to their digital creations, working at the same time on different platforms and different media. Although digital art has not yet entered the mainstream here in Italy, MEET, in collaboration with Assolombarda, wanted to promote this type of innovation through the Cross Fertilization Lab.

MEET is the international center for digital culture in Milan, founded with the support of Fondazione Cariplo with the aim of spreading the idea that innovation is a cultural rather than technological fact. The most recent project is carried out in collaboration with Assolombarda, an association of Milanese industrial companies, for the Cross Fertilization Lab, a training course that will bring together digital creatives and entrepreneurs and will see five projects compete for a total prize of 10,000€, awarded by a jury of experts.

The Cross Fertilization Lab will involve creatives such as media artists, interaction designers, computer animators, VR and AR video makers, sound artists, motion designers, net artists and visual content creators under the age of 35.

The first phase of the project is the Call for Digital Creators.

How to participate:

  1. The application must be submitted by the project author (or a project leader in the case of groups and collaborations) on MEET's online portal that you will find at this link by January 31st, 2020. You will need to fill out the online form with the personal data, the contacts of the participants and a summary abstract of the proposal/creative project. You'll also need to submit a portfolio and a CV and any internet or social links relating to the candidate and the project.
  2. After the screening of the Selective Committee, the finalists will participate in the training days dedicated to providing tools and useful information on the relationship between creativity-innovation-production system and will receive 2000 each to carry out their project.
  3. The meet-up phase will consist of a series of presentations of the finalist projects where creatives and entrepreneurs will meet. The companies participating in the project will agree with the selected creatives on the timing and manner of carrying out the period of artistic residence.
  4. Finally, the projects will be presented at a final event by June 2020.
