EASY'S ANATOMY

Easy is the new anthology series by Netflix, written, produced and directed by Joe Swanberg, the main exponent of mumblecore, typically characterized by the use of improvisation.

Each episode tells a story with different characters and situations. Everything is focused on the problems of the couple's relationship and relationships in general, between sex, communication, new technology and daily life.

In this frame of average’s American's life, we can find the couple with a sex life blurred, guys who decide to try Tinder and a woman that starts role-playing games. There is, furthermore, a girl who tries to become vegan as her new love, a cartoonist who spends a night of passion with a young selfie artist, and prospective parents into a crisis.

Hope Gangloff, born in 1974, is a young artist from New York, graduated from the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art. She has immediately had a good success with her exhibitions in the States and in Europe.

The protagonists of her works are her friends, who, portrayed in everyday life, become the mirror of modern society, lost in the need to communicate, to be ironic, to love, as in the TV series Easy.

If her stroke seems like Schiele, her drawings, are more fresh, immediate and spontaneous as her characters, while checking the phone, drink a beer, play music.

In the Netflix’s series different couples looking for a way to communicate with each other, especially about sex. If in the first episode "The Fucking Study" a wife tries to reignite the tedious conjugal manage, with sexy maid clothing, the same thing happens, more or less, in everyone’s life.

"Future Sex" is a collection of essays about sex written by Emily Witt, between autobiography and narrative reports.

It began in 2011 when the writer, who wrote for GQ, New Yorker, New York Times, moved to San Francisco in California, to explore 2000's sex.

There, among quinoa eaters and thirties artists, experiments the internet dating with Ok Cupid and Tinder, participates in hot videos and takes part in an orgy in Nevada desert. She tells the stories of a free couple and girls who perform via webcam.

Through the pages of the book, the author analyzes feelings and sex, knowing herself and understanding that the only way to live a balanced relationship is not classifying it.

Easy is a series that consisting of episodes unrelated to each other and is an eclectic series, as is its soundtrack. If we were found a common characteristic among the various tracks, this would be the hipster mood.und
