When we talk about sustainability, even the smallest actions can make a difference. We had direct proof of this a few days ago together with Timberland on the occasion of the launch in Milan and in other European cities of Urban Greening

It's an urban garden open to the public built in the inner courtyard of BASE Milano: this space will undergo a real transformation that will turn it into a green reference point for the whole city. The green revolution, as it was defined, aims at raising awareness and engaging the citizens of Milan. During the month of October, the urban garden will host a series of activities and events related to the environment and sustainability, curated by the different partners that have taken part in the project, such as Cascina BollateFattiamano BiolaboratorioLa FioreriaErba Brusca and Bici&radici. A couple of days ago, on the launch day, La Fioreria, innovative plants and flower shop based in the Cascina Cuccagna, put together a unique workshop. Starting from a layer of clay, adding sand, soil, carbon and getting their hands in the dirt, every participant had the chance to create their own customized terrarium and to take home the result of this little green action.

The project was born as part of the new Timberland Nature Needs Heroes campaign, where the protagonist was a community of change-makers, people that have put their talent to good use by offering the possibility to the final customer to give their personal green contribution for a sustainable future. Raising awareness and starting a conversation on a topic like sustainability is the main objective of the Timberland campaign, a brand that for years has been committed to this theme, both in terms of production and ethics. After major achievements, the brand has now announced its plan to plant 50 million trees by 2025.

Starting from this Saturday and for two weeks there will be a series of events and happenings for which you can register here. You can discover all the Timberland projects and actions here
