What happens on the Techno Train in Nuremberg 7-hour journey and 25 DJs

Some dream of a journey on the Hogwarts Express, while others are saving up to buy a ticket for the Techno Train, a train for the most passionate clubbers. Priced at 100 euros, the journey promises one of the most intense experiences ever, featuring tireless DJ sets and breathtaking views of the Bavarian countryside. Inaugurated in 2019 by the owners of the Nuremberg venue Haus 33, the Techno Train departs twice a year from the Frankenstadion station to reach Würzburg, 100 kilometers away. For seven hours of travel, passengers can let loose to the rhythm of music with around twenty-five different DJs spread across the twelve train carriages. The Techno Train is equipped with lights, smoke machines, speakers, and carriages dedicated to relaxation, including smoking areas. Since the first event was launched on the market, it has gathered success worldwide starting from Germany, and today it sells out in seconds despite offering more than 700 tickets each time. After all, the city of Berlin has just announced that it will make Techno music a UNESCO heritage.

As reported by The Guardian, which documented the experience of a journalist aboard the Techno Train, participants come from all corners of the world and gather in total euphoria aboard what is a huge controversy for Bavaria: despite the state being extremely conservative, one of the DJs tells The Guardian, the Techno Train continues to receive permission to travel. Equipped with speakers and bars to refuel during the seven-hour journey, each carriage evokes the same atmosphere as a techno club, from subdued lighting to futuristic interiors. On the train, the staff ensures that the entire event takes place in complete safety, but unlike any other journey, there is no obligation to wear a seatbelt. At the end of the experience, upon returning to Nuremberg, all participants bid a final farewell to the DJs at the Haus 33 club, for an afterparty in full techno, house, and queer beats style. According to the official event website, the next departure of the Techno Train is scheduled for August 21, but the new lineup has not yet been announced.
