5 things to do in Milan this weekend From 25 to 27 March

Spring has officially arrived, maybe this time we can really say it. The weekend has sunny days in store for us and locations to discover in the heart of the Milanese metropolis with an exceptional guide: our column to spend your evenings among cool settings and unusual dishes. This week the watchword is experiment!

To Eat - Mater

An experimental menu that changes every month, to be eaten by hand or to be shared: this is the culinary proposal of Mater, a delightful bistro in the Risorgimento area. Recipes based on daring combinations and unusual ingredients: duck meatballs with chimichurri sauce or sea meatballs with 'nduja, oysters with green tabasco, eel nuggets, raw sausage with mussels, fermented cabbage and fried bread. A unique culinary experience.

Via Pasquale Sottocorno, 1

To Discover - Giovanni Gastel, The People I Like

The good news is that, if you haven't had a chance to go yet, the Triennale's exhibition focusing on photographer Giovanni Gastel has been extended until 22 May. In collaboration with MAXXI, The People I Like, curated by Uberto Frigerio with installation by Lissoni Associati, presents over 200 portraits that bear witness to the immense variety of encounters that have characterised Gastel's long career: a labyrinth of faces, poses and dreams of personalities from the world of culture, design, art, fashion, music, entertainment and politics.

Viale Emilio Alemagna, 6

To Chill - Unseen Bar

Neon lights and Greek statues: in the Lambrate area a cocktail bar with a single 'social table' in the middle and a menu that explores the themes of anime culture, obsolete technology, j-pop, combined with minimalist furniture. The bathroom is definitely the most Instagrammable location of club.

Via Ronchi, 13

To Club - Amnesia Milan

Saturday 26th March Silvie Loto is back in console at Amnesia Milano. More and more a protagonist in the international electronic scene: for years she has been in line up in the parties in Ibiza and in the rest of the world, last December she came out with the two tracks "Taking My Mind For A Loop" and "Cervoloco", signed together with William Djoko for Nervous Records.

Via Alfonso Gatto

To Shop - Dock41

On the outskirts of Novate Milanese, the milestone of vintage furniture, an endless warehouse where you can find the must-haves of past design but also furniture, lamps, vases, toys, vintage clothing and modern antiques. Absolutely not to be missed.
