Milan's closed shutters painted by IED students As part of the AmAbilità project against violence against women

Preventing the lockdown from passing the issue of gender-based violence into the background. This is the mission with which the AmAbilità project of the Libere Sinergie Association started, which led a group of students, Alumni and IED Milano teachers, with the coordination of Martina Sironi, to use urban furnishing elements such as walls, shutters and benches such as white canvases for street art works. On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, on November 25, the students of IED Milano made their creativity available to the cause by drawing themed artwork on 16 shutters of various points in the city, while four other works are already scheduled to be realized in the coming months.

Through the creative works and collaboration of citizens (shopkeepers, artisans and private individuals who have made their street shutters available) in Milan there is today a real path that winds through its buildings with the aim of reaching as many people as possible with the universal language of images and colors. The first gate in chronological order is located on the southern outskirts (Le Terrazze, near gratosoglio) in Greco Pirelli, then passing through the NoLo area; from Corvetto to Ghisolfa, including the more central areas of Porta Ticinese, Crocetta, Corso XXII Marzo, Paolo Sarpi, Isola and City Life.

To amplify the concept of respect and care, extending it also to the surrounding environment, only the eco-sustainable enamels of Capoverde Bio were used in the construction of the works. The Free Synergies Eligibility project is funded and sponsored by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Equal Opportunities Department.
