5 things you have to know about the Grammy Awards 2016 February 15, Staples Center

Last night, while many of us were sleeping deeply, the Grammy Awards 2016 took place at Staples Palace in Los Angeles. The event was long-await not only for its prizes, but also for the red carpet of the stars, who walked in front of a severe audience prepared to promote or destroy their gala evening looks.

Leaving the best dressed charts to Vogue, music has been the true protagonist of the night. Among the winners there are Taylor Swift, who took 3 awards (Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album with 1989, and Best Music Video with Bad Blood) and Ed Sheeran, who won Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance. The Weeknd, nominated for 7 categories, won 2 awards for Best R&B Performance and Best Urban Contemporary Album, but the global winner was undoubtedly Kendrick Lamar, who was awarded with 5 prizes: Best Rap Album, Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song, Best Rap/Sung Collaboration and Best Music Video with Taylor Swift's Bad Blood. Chapeau, Kendrick!

If you don't have time to watch the show, here are some of the hottest moments of the night:

#1 Lady Gaga pays tributo to David Bowie. The singer performed an emotional mix of Bowie's best songs.

#2 Kendrick Lamar's performance. The award-winning singer made the public crazy with a stunning performance of Alright and The Blacker The Berry.

#3 Jaxon Bieber. Justin Bieber's little half-brother participated to the event. The pictures of two brothers together on the red carpet will be the sweetest thing you will see today on your Facebook timeline.

#4 Taylor Swift vs Kanye West. Two singers had a fight on Twitter few days ago, and Taylor Swift took the opportunity of awards show to respond to insults that Kanye West would have said her. When would Yeezy's dissings end?

#5 Tribute to Lionel Richie. John Legend, Demi Lovato, Meghan Trainor, Luke Brian and Tyrese collaborated to honor Lionel Richie, who was awarded with the 2016 Musicares Person of the Year.
