The new collaboration between Kuboraum and Tikiman Between art, fashion, and music

For the latest edition of the Digital Sound Residency, Kuboraum welcomes Paul St. Hilaire, better known as Tikiman, an iconic voice of Berlin’s dub techno. Active since the 1990s with key collaborations alongside Rhythm & Sound, Moritz von Oswald, The Bug, and many others, Tikiman is an artist who has expanded the boundaries of the genre, merging the hypnotic precision of minimal techno with the spiritual warmth of dub. His suspended, melancholic voice, always grounded in substance, has become a distinctive presence in the landscape of contemporary electronic music.

«ICE» is a slow motion journey

With the track «ICE», Tikiman distills decades of sonic exploration into a stripped-back yet immersive composition. The soft basslines and floating delays create a soundscape that moves in slow motion, like an ambient ritual carrying the listener into a suspended dimension. The piece is part of the Digital Sound Residency project, a platform launched by Kuboraum in 2021 to invite artists to reinterpret their aesthetic through exclusive compositions, hosted within the brand’s “digital room”.

Beyond eyewear, a radical project

Founded in Berlin in 2012 by Italian creative directors Sergio Eusebi and Livio Graziotti, Kuboraum has transformed the concept of eyewear into a true identity mask, gradually becoming a hybrid cultural hub that spans fashion, art, performance, and music. From collaborations with Nyege Nyege and Regis, hosted at the brand’s Berlin headquarters, to participation in major events like the Venice Biennale and the Terraforma Festival, Kuboraum has built an interdisciplinary and international platform. It has opened flagship and pop-up stores in key cities such as Mexico City, London (Dover Street Market), and Tokyo (Ginza), and its accessories sub-label, Innerraum, collaborated with Japanese designer Junya Watanabe for collections shown at Paris Fashion Week.

Meanwhile, in 2021, it launched the Digital Sound Residency, a digital sound project where experimental and contemporary artists are invited to reinterpret the brand’s aesthetic through original soundtracks, including Paul St. Hilaire himself. Participants have included Low Jack feat. Le DioukMarina HerlopLord SpikeheartRainy MillerSpace Afrikaµ-ZiqEmma djZiùrRegisQuelzaValentina Magaletti, and many more. A sonic expansion that confirms Kuboraum’s radical and ever-evolving vision.

In 2025, it co-curated the outdoor music series Berlin Beats, hosted by Hamburger Bahnhof, Berlin’s contemporary art museum, with a lineup including DJ StingrayNkisiSTILLZiùr, and others. In addition to its artistic endeavors, Kuboraum joined the Plant-for-the-Planet initiative to offset CO₂ emissions, successfully planting 4,322 trees following its event at the 2024 Venice Biennale.
