Pawn Stars rock star edition.

The adventure that happened to David Hadfield could be entitled like this: during a moving, he found an old tape recorded with the Konrads, the band he used to be the drummer and manager of.

So far nothing exceptional, if not for one particular: that 1963 demo, a failed audition with the production company Decca, is the singing debut of a certain David Jones, then became legendary with the name of David Bowie.

"Together with the band we decided to do a couple of guitar instrumentals and one original song" - said Hadfield after the discovery – "I chose I Never Dreamed as it was our most powerful track, the other two were a bit weak. I also realised that David was the best person to sing it and give it the right interpretation. So this became the very first recording of David Jones singing, 55 years ago."

The tape will be auctioned next September along with other memorabilia found in the garage and dating back from the first part of Bowie's career, like letters, photographs and promotional sketches.

The auction announces itself as a huge success and experts speculate that the new piece could reach the price of $10k (about 11,200 euros).
