Barbara ìGongini - SS 2013 collection

Barbara ìGongini, è un'affermata fashion designer, che non crea solo abiti bensì un mondo, un’ atmosfera. Mistero, dramma, fascino, teatralità minimale si fondono e prendono vita nelle collezioni che Barbara disegna, Barbara ìGongini, the main line, e The black line, più accessibile ma sempre con la stessa identità.

La prima è l’animo libero, sperimentale, sognante, frutto dell’ ispirazione più profonda. La seconda è androgina, minimalista, una sorta di avanguardia basica, in pura tradizione nordica. Insieme formano le due facce di una stessa medaglia, il medesimo progetto che trova piena espressione nelle visionarie, ma attente alla portabilità, creazioni della danese di adozione. La proposta per la SS 2013 regala raggi di bianco, giallo pallido e sfumature di grigio, che filtrano la colata di nero, caratteristica della label. Le forme sono basiche, quasi di un’aristocratica semplicità. I capi, destrutturati, seguono i movimenti del corpo, hanno tagli asimmetrici, incarnano un caos futuristico. La collezione è composta da: lunghi abiti in seta, giacche in pelle, calze di latex, leggings, bizzarre parrucche e tele di ragno che completano un look da avanguardistica strega burtoniana.

Barbara ìGongini is a fashion designer who doesn’t create just clothes but she creates a world, an atmosphere. Mystery, drama, allure, minimalist  theatricalism are the key words for the collections designed by Barbara.

The main line is the free and experimental dream, fruit of the deeper inspiration. The black line, just a little bit more commercial, is androgynous, minimalist, a sort of basic avant-garde, in pure Nordic tradition. So they form the two faces of the same coin, the same project which founds the full expression in the visionary, but careful to portability, creations of the red woman.

The proposition for the SS 2013 donates rays of white, pale yellow and shadow of grey, that filtrate the flow of black, characteristic of the label. The clothes, deconstructed, follow the body’s movements, they have asymmetric cuts, embody a futurist chaos. The collection is composed of: long dresses, leather jackets, latex stockings, leggings, strange wigs and spider’s web.
