The new life of Paciotti's dagger

Revealed: the new "Hand in Glove" collection

The new life of Paciotti's dagger Revealed: the new Hand in Glove collection

The new Paciotti collection, Hand in Glove, has one singular goal in mind: to highlight the product and the craftsmanship that sets it apart. Paciotti is a unique company in the footwear industry, with its products still being manufactured in the workshops of the Marche factory established by the Paciotti family. The campaign aims to reflect the dark, glam, and sharp imagery of the made in Italy brand. Its name is inspired by the famous song by The Smiths, the group's debut single, which celebrated its thirtieth anniversary in 2023. The parallel between the song and the collection serves as a communicative device aimed at associating Paciotti's character with that of The Smiths, a band known for its dark tones and a gem in the history of music.

The collection has undergone significant work on Paciotti's must-haves and the iconic dagger, an accessory that enhances pointed moccasins and enriches the new Texan spur. The star of the collection is the sharkskin finish: entirely handcrafted, it involves the pairing of different leather strips (nappa and patent) resembling gills, stitched and made to rotate, providing the boot and sabot silhouettes with light and three-dimensionality. The meticulousness employed in the collection rightly honors the collaborative effort of the design office and its approach, simultaneously archival and innovative, characterized by clear codes that aim for a more sophisticated and cutting-edge empowerment.
