Future to be the first guest creative director of Lanvin Lab The project's first collection will combine art and music under the creative direction of the American rapper

With the same admiration that the founder of the fashion house, Jeanne Lanvin, had for music, theatre, art and literature, the brand's new project, Lanvin Lab, will collaborate with numerous creatives from the most diverse industries to celebrate fashion in an interdisciplinary context. The first collection of this initiative will be directed by award-winning American rapper Future, a figure who in music, as in fashion, represents modernity and innovation. Flanking Lanvin's main collection that will be presented next autumn, Future's capsule collection will be unveiled to the public during Autumn Fashion Week in Paris, a ready-to-wear line of clothing and accessories for men and women.

Although the Lanvin maison was founded as far back as 1885, Lanvin Lab is a project firmly rooted in the brand's history. Music is central to Lanvin's heritage, an inspiration that also deeply touched designer Jeanne through her daughter Marguerite, an acclaimed musician during her time. Starting with the creative direction of Future, a rapper whose cultural impact continually resonates on the streets and the best known fashion catwalks, Lanvin Lab will be a true research laboratory for the fashion house, a new medium of expression and co-creation in which artists from different spheres will have the opportunity to enhance Lanvin's artistic heritage in a personal way.
