AVAVAV arrives in the Metaverse with his 'Bloody Feet'. The brand's first digital capsule collection

Under the creative guidance of Beate Karlsson, a Stockholm native born in 1995 and educated at Parsons School of Design, Avavav has revolutionised the aesthetic canons of fashion with Bloody Feet, a cross between a reproduction of some bird's feet and a 70s horror aesthetic or simply a cartoon version of Margiela's Tabi. So it's no surprise that it is thanks to the brand's flagship item, worn by global stars such as Doja Cat, Ezra Miller and Rick Owens, that Avavav presents its first digital collection extending the brand's imagery into the Metaverse, collaborating with artist Cailin Russo who posed as an avatar for the collection.

For Beate's first digital collection, she wanted to take a break from the norms of gravity that often limit the silhouette of physical clothes. The collection is a good example of how brands now have the opportunity to go beyond the physical laws of clothing and experiment with design by transcending the empiricism of the creative process into the everyday: "The coolest part of the Metaverse is that you don't have to create comfortable clothes or dress codes. It's a dream for a designer," commented Beate Karlsson.

The collection is powered by BNV and will be shown at the first Metaverse Fashion Week with Decentraland. The pieces will also be available for purchase as NFT through the BNV platform.
