Cop or Drop : Nike Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard 3.0 The colorway inspired by a game played in Italy by Michael Jordan

One of the most anticipated releases of October is the Nike Air Jordan 1 High OG "Shattered Backboard 3.0", scheduled for Saturday 26th October. This is the third version of the sneaker whose colorway is inspired by Stefanel Trieste, the historic Italian basketball team.
On August 25th, 1985 during a sponsorship tour organized by Nike in Italy, Michael Jordan with the Air Jordan 1 "Chicago" on his feet played in a friendly match between Stefanel and Mobilgrigi Caserta, wearing Trieste's orange-black jersey. Among the 30 points that MJ scored in that game, there was also a slam dunk, which shattered one of the boards of the PalaChiarbola, hurting the players of Caserta Pietro Generali and Toto Lopez. That episode of a young Michael Jordan - the year before Rookie of the Year in the NBA - is the inspiration behind the Shattered Backboard colorway.

The new Nike Air Jordan 1 High OG "Shattered Backboard 3.0" has some new features compared to the original design, on all the surface of the ruffled and shiny upper better known as Patent Leather, probably inspired by the glass of the board. The first images of the AJ1 made the purists of Jordan brand turn up their noses, expecting a silhouette more faithful to the OG. The orange "Starfish" panels of the sole and heel, as well as the Swoosh, stand out against the black base. Another new feature compared to the previous two versions is the vanilla sole.
The Shattered Backboard 3.0 will be available from October 26th for € 151, at Nike stores, selected Retailers and Sneakers App.
