How has your everyday-life changed? What do you do to fulfill your day?
Even if I am in quarantine, I am trying to keep my rhythms working: I want to wake up in time to study and work out, and even the organization of my work for school has radically changed, becoming more independent despite the deadlines. To keep my day busy, in the morning I study and do research for my thesis, while in the afternoon I focus on other creativity projects related to my studies as drawing, sewing and embroidery, but also some digital design.
Your work is built on creativity. While we’re all in quarantine, what is your solution to keep on being creative? Where do you find your inspiration in this moment?
In my honest opinion, it is important to express ourselves in every form we are allowed to. We have to express our feelings, everything that is caused by isolation, otherwise we keep inside us a bad feeling that could have real bad consequences. Personally, to be inspired I use the opportunity to go through online libraries and the virtual tours of museums, then I stay updated through movies, videos and advertising that I find online.
What is your biggest fear right now?
Being in my third and final year, my biggest fear is that, once I will be graduated, I will not find any job opportunity or stage. The industry is already suffering from the crisis and the state of lockdown.
What will you do once all of this is over?
Though it is difficult to imagine a post-Coronavirus future, considering the uncertainty there is about how we have to face this pandemic, I hope that we will rise up from this bad situation and that we will all be more aware and willing to do better. Mental and physical freedom will help us traveling with our imagination, giving space to our insatiable desire for life.
