Meg Hitchock è un artista che elabora collage con lettere ritagliate da libri assortiti tra cui il Corano e I Versetti Satanici di Salmon Rushdie. Meg Hitchock is a collage artist who draw with letters cut from assorted books including the Koran and Salmon Rushdie's The Satanic Verses. The patience required to assemble them is absolutely amazing. He admits to cut out letters from words of the Bible or Koran reforming recreate a Tantric text from letters cut out from the Torah. The individual letters are glued to the paper in a continuous line with no time, without spaces and punctuation marks, in order to discourage the reading of the text itself. Its intent is to put together holy writings of different traditions, creating an arras vision without aiming to a universal connection with the texts themselves, make that what you see is not religion, or a credo, but only art.
