Naples, a city of a thousand colors, enveloping scents and millennial histories, hosted last April 5 one of the most anticipated events of the season, the Basement Café By Lavazza, which is now preparing to arrive with its new show in Rome next May 21, bringing together Italian cinema with the world of hip-hop music. After its online triumph, Basement Café By Lavazza took its live show to the bustling streets of the Neapolitan city before beginning a series of events throughout Italy: meetings that will transform the web into a real audience, where likes turn into applause, comments into conversations, and the audience becomes a true community. The original idea behind the format is simple: one studio, three chairs, and the hottest topics of the moment. With over 31 million views on YouTube, it has become a beacon for young people eager to engage with and understand the world around them. But why limit to the web when you can bring the experience directly to the stage? "Today, to remain relevant to our target audience," explains Carlo Colpo, Marketing Communication Director and Brand Home Director of the Lavazza Group, "it's necessary to offer a more active and engaging experience; precisely to meet this need, we decided to hold live events in theaters." And for its first stop, the choice couldn't be anything other than Naples, a city steeped in history and currently experiencing a golden age, with four exceptional guests: BigMama, Massimiliano Caiazzo from Mare Fuori, Luchè, and Guè.

The selection of the four exceptional guests for the live debut of Basement Café by Lavazza is a testament to the special attention paid to Naples and its culture. Each of these guests represents a pillar of the Basement Café project: the modernity of rap, the focus on the rights of the new generations, and the power of representation of TV series. But it's precisely in their connection to Naples that the true essence of this choice emerges. Three of the four guests are from Campania and have significantly contributed to the cultural and artistic scene of the region in recent months. Massimiliano Caiazzo is one of the most beloved faces of Mare Fuori, establishing himself not only as one of the most promising talents in the local and national acting scene but also as one of the most representative faces of the new Gen Z of the city. Rapper BigMama represented Millennial culture in Campania at the Sanremo Festival, embodying the exuberant and genuine spirit of her homeland. Luchè, one of the founders of rap in Naples, has helped shape the city's music scene with his authentic voice and powerful lyrics.

The sixth edition presents an already tried-and-true tandem at the helm: Antonio Dikele Distefano and Carlotta Vagnoli will lead a new format that, as well as with the medium of YouTube, aims to engage the audience during studio interviews, offering participants the opportunity to actively participate in the event and immerse themselves in the backstage by meeting the guests up close. Recently, on April 5 th at the Teatro Bellini, the first live talk show with Luchè and Guè was presented, interviewed by Antonio Dikele Distefano. These two Italian rap legends have told their stories like never before, recounting the most significant moments of their lives, from childhood to today. Later, Carlotta Vagnoli hosted the second live Basement Café, which saw the participation of actor Massimiliano Caiazzo and rapper BigMama for an intimate and personal interview that explored both current issues and their personal passions, offering a new perspective on today's youth and their hopes and passions in the broader discourse on the "awakening of Naples," which saw the two Campania talents share and tell their visions of the city and growing up as part of it.

The next Basement appointment will take place on May 21st in Rome at the Teatro Quirino Gassman. Italian cinema will meet the world of hip-hop music with a dialogue between Marco Giallini and Noyz Narcos, interviewed by Antonio Dikele Distefano, while later Carlotta Vagnoli will lead the conversation between Andrea Delogu and singer-songwriter and director Margherita Vicario, exploring the delicate themes of identity and female empowerment in the entertainment industry. To participate in the Basement Café By Lavazza Live contest and have the opportunity to attend one of the live episodes, simply visit the official Basement Café website to register; once inside, follow the instructions to choose the episode to attend. And even if you don't win the two tickets to the event, you can still participate in the final prize draw offered by Lavazza, which will give you the chance to win 8 super-final prizes.
