In a moment of stop and great difficulty for the world of music, festivals and events, the C2C Festival continues to support independent work and creativity, through the Festival record label, inaugurated last November. C2C and Stone Island, which last July presented Stone Island Sound, the project that includes a series of playlists, record releases and soundtracks, now unveil the second EP that will be released as part of the initiative.

The EP is entitled Invrs Solaria by XIII, which will be available from March 5, to coincide with the #BandcampFriday. The EP is anticipated by a preview of the Breathe track, available from today, right on Bandcamp. XIII is the moniker of the Italian composer Alessio Capovilla, with which he analyzes the more tactile and digital facets of his sound. Through the 4 tracks that make up the Invrs Solaria EP, XIII explores the evocative soundscapes of Siberian and Mongolian ritual music, the rhythms of the Italian Renaissance, Indian and Asian winds. The artist thus describes those dreamlike qualities of these electronic compositions and these organic and fresh sounds: "Multipolar by choice, ritual and fluid by necessity". XIII's work focuses on sound modelling: imperfect sounds, inaccurate distortions and incongruous atmospheres. A constantly evolving dialogue between ancient instruments and new technologies through synthesis, computer music and field recording, beats and different genres.

The Invrs Solaria EP follows the first publication on the C2C Festival label, To Be Banned From Rome by the artist and composer Bienoise. Many fans of the C2C Festival immediately recognized it as a constant soundtrack of the main events of the festival, that in a year like 2020 has taken on a particular symbolic significance.

In addition to the release of Invrs Solaria, C2C Festival and Stone Island in the coming weeks will announce the new phase of the Stone Island Sound collaborative project: new playlists, selections and soundtracks with the aim of continuing to enhance local scenes and communities and build an ideal world sound map. The updated playlists and selections will be available via Buy Music Club on Buy Music Club, in addition to streaming platforms such as Apple MusicSpotify and Tidal.

XIII will release the Invrs Solaria EP on March 5, 2021, on the C2C Festival label. 100% of the proceeds will go to the artist.
