A direct reference to the Danish fairy tale The Emperor's New Clothes, Enzo Fusco's Venetian luxury outerwear brand Ten c - The Emperor's New Clothes - explores the limits of vanity in the contemporary world by producing clothing taking shape away from this sentiment, shifting focus from aesthetics to quality, from status quo to practicality. Just as in the fairy tale, the swindlers deceive the emperor by handing him a dress that can be seen «only by competent people,» Ten c holds up a mirror to superficial people, showing them, instead of a transparent dress, a piece of sartorial craftsmanship that does not respond to others' opinion, but to their actual value.

Ten c's designs take inspiration from Japanese manifacture, with Original Japanese Jersey as the mainstay, produced in Japan and then composed and sewn in Italy by Ten c, given its strength and adaptability, fundamental prerequisites for guaranteeing the durability of a garment. Thanks to state-of-the-art elements such as OJJ, Ten c's outerwear adapts to the wearer's body, maintaining all its waterproof and robust qualities over time. Based on these principles, Ten c's new FW23/24 collection further reinforces the brand's commitment to unique design by stripping away the insistent and insecure projection of people who aren't able to recognise the true weight of a garment, focusing on timeless concepts such as longevity and quality materials.

Three colours mark Ten c's new FW23/24 campaign, finding inspiration in the shades that make up the Cave di Arcari, where the garments were shot. Between the military green of the mosses and algae that rest on the rocky walls, the ivory of the Pietra di Vicenza and the black hues that looms in the most hidden parts of this place, the brand celebrates the history of one of Italy's most evocative sites and its place in modern architecture, having been chosen by David Chipperfield to host the temple he designed. This new collection confirms the brand's commitment to celebrating its Italian heritage, both its landscapes and its craftsmanship, and its dedication to a continuous research, from the introduction of cutting-edge technologies, such as the hybridisation of materials with the combination of different fabrics, to perfecting the functionality of garments.
