Converse “twisted” its classics for Spring 2020 collection Playing with design and proportions

Converse opens the new year showing its most experimental side. Inspired by the iconic Chuck Taylor, the U.S. brand decided to play with design, proportions, colors and materials, reworking some of its most popular models, giving them an even more street and contemporary twist. The first shoe to be restyled is the Run Star Hike. The hybrid between runner and Chuck, launched from the successful collaboration with JW Anderson, is based on the zig-zag trekking boots for its exaggerated details such as the EVA midsole, the bootstrap and the classic star ankle patch and is declined in the classic black and white. Among the new items in the collection, there is the Converse CPX70, a new silhouette that mixes elements of the basketball world such as an ERX heel from the late 80s, the medial of the One Star, and a simple forefoot derived from Pro Leather. Twisted Heritage includes new looks of Chuck Taylor Logo Play, Chuck 70 and Chuck Lift. Letting the imagination run free, the shoes experiment with platforms, overlaps and are embellished with leopard prints, oversized patches, touches of color on the iconic rubber toe cap.

The Spring 2020 collection models will be available worldwide in stores and on Converse.com, with prices ranging from €75 to €110.
