Manhattan Community Board has denied permission to Supreme x Louis Vuitton pop-up “CB2 Manhattan STRONGLY recommends DENIAL of the Louis Vuitton/Supreme (Product) Launch

About a month ago the announcement was made: Supreme x Louis Vuitton would eventually make the collection available this summer in a selected number of pop-up stores around the world. Among the thirteen locations mentioned, there are also 25 Bond St, New York.

A few days ago a municipal alert summoned a public meeting to discuss whether or not to host one of the much-anticipated pop-ups. The result? The Manhattan Municipal Council denied permission.

According to some sources, the decision of the City Council is due to the fact that Supreme has failed to present an appropriate action plan to handle the huge flow of customers that would invade the area. Among the main concerns are the camp-outs in the days before the opening and the disturbance of public quiet that this would cause, without counting the "lack of a report on how this launch could have benefited the community" from the New York brand.
