How has your everyday-life changed? What do you do to fulfill your day?
My everyday life has been totally changed by the arrival of the COVID-19, in fact unlike before now I can no longer attend university as I used to do every day. In this period of social distancing, I have dedicated myself a lot to the study of languages and reading, my greatest passions. In addition, I have incredibly successfully baked some cakes, which was once really rare.
Your work is built on creativity. While we’re all in quarantine, what is your solution to keep on being creative? Where do you find your inspiration in this moment?
Loneliness helps my creativity, in fact, I believe that in some way it brings out our ego. Quarantine allows us to have time for ourselves, to rediscover ourselves, to explore new hobbies or to maintain the ones we have always had. For me, reading is the main inspiration for my creativity, reading newspaper articles and novels.
What is your biggest fear right now?
My greatest fear is that once this quarantine is over, the contagions will rise again and our efforts will be for nothing. A further fear that I have developed in these days of social distancing is post-quarantine future: how will our social relations, the way we approach each other, change?
What will you do once all of this is over?
Yes, I imagine a world quite different from what it was months ago. I believe that globalization, which for us today is essential, will be the result of analysis and, unfortunately, of strong criticism. Furthermore, I think that relations between people will change in some way, if not in the short-term then certainly in the long term.
