The Glitch Camp brings young talent from around the world closer to the most popular design event ever

IED is hosting international students at Milan Design Week The Glitch Camp brings young talent from around the world closer to the most popular design event ever

The IED, the European Institute of Design, has launched a call to the Design school community worldwide with The Glitch Camp, an urban camp that will open its doors at the "Enrico Cappelli Savorelli" Sports Center in Milan, welcoming students from around the world for free during the upcoming Design Week, scheduled from April 15th to 21st. The initiative, in collaboration with the Municipality of Milan and Milanosport S.p.A., aims to make the Salone del Mobile week more accessible, one of the most prestigious design events and a place where aspiring creatives can develop their knowledge. Design Week makes Milan a bustling center of ideas and stimuli, which is why IED is committed to making the event more open to young talents from abroad.

The project takes shape drawing inspiration from the concept of "glitch." Taking its name from a term meaning error, often used in the coding sector, the Glitch Camp leverages the positive aspects that can emerge from complexity, in this case related to hospitality. IED's initiative presents a unique opportunity in the history of Design Week where young students can socialize and engage, an out-of-the-ordinary idea that promotes networking among new minds and growth experiences. The Glitch Camp also aims to spread the creative heritage of Milanese Design Week abroad, bringing the project to international schools, not only configuring itself as a training activity for guests but also as a launch and distribution platform for one of the world's most important design events.

Students aged between 18 and 30 can request accommodation in the large football field of the "Enrico Cappelli Savorelli" Sports Center, set up by IED for 100 young people per night. To participate, access the dedicated platform from the IED website from the month of March - it will be possible to send your request for overnight stay for a maximum of two nights and subject to availability.
