2021 is the year of celebrations for Saucony Originals with two emblematic models of the collection – Jazz and Shadow 6000 – that have extinguished 40 and 30 candles respectively. If the first part of the year saw the Jazz as the protagonist with new versions and new releases of the most iconic model in the history of the brand, this second part sees Shadow 6000 as the absolute protagonist of exclusive collaborations and interpretations. Today this model returns in a premium version updated in materials by choosing prime leather and suede for the upper and a new PWRRUN compound for the midsole that makes it even lighter, softer and more comfortable. Special focus on the "Saucony x Saucony", a very exclusive limited edition proposal that represents the highest interaction between design and fun. These special drops have the same premium treatment normally reserved for collaborations and represent the most creative and energetic storytelling of the brand with fun and innovative versions and products of the highest quality.

There have been many events - activations, releases and initiatives - that have dotted these important months that have seen the design of the product become increasingly bold and sophisticated. Authenticity and originality have remained the two principles that have guided the brand, which with its 123 years of history has forever entered the vocabulary of American aesthetics and the mythology of sneaker culture. Authenticity and originality are also the two principles that gave shape to the latest FW21 campaign, shot by Alessandro Treves under the creative direction of the Circular agency, which brought together three artists and creators from all over the world whose path is the emblem of how art and creativity are the driving force of change and self-affirmation:  the Italian rapper and platinum record Ernia; French-Caribbean singer, bassist and producer Adeline and British DJ Jordan Vickors.

These new faces have distinguished themselves in the course of their fulminating careers for having helped their community, supporting its talents as in the case of Ernia; speaking strongly in favor of change as Adeline does from her stage in Brooklyn; or fighting for a cause they believe in, like Jordan, who with his Foundation New Found Form promotes conscious recycling. With this campaign Saucony celebrates the thirtieth anniversary of an iconic model, the Shadow 6000, a sneaker symbol of the streetwear phenomenon that, originally born as a hyper-performing running shoe, has made its way into the fashion world thanks to its functional design, its resistance and its bold and slightly chunky style, which has intercepted current trends with enormous anticipation,  becoming an absolute classic.

The Shadow 6000 therefore returns in its OG Color version, which maintains all its 90s aesthetics, but with important technical updates such as the PWRRUN midsole capable of absorbing any shock. The latter is accompanied by other limited edition releases: the Shadow 6000 Pearl, which takes its name from the jewel typically given to weddings, built in white leather with mother-of-pearl inserts and a mesh net that evokes oyster fishing; and the Shadow 6000 Destination Unknown, inspired by the colors of the earth and travel, with a tongue decorated with the graphics of a map, reflective inserts, a micro-perforated suede toe cap and an upper built with a weave of leather and suede, wrapped in an exclusive packaging. The third tribute to the historic model was the Shadow 6000 Food Fight - sold out within a few hours - which brings together in a bold collage the materials and patterns of all the Saucony releases inspired by the world of food with a mix-and-match that makes each part of the shoes different from each other and even the right shoe different from the left.

To complete the exclusive drops the recent Marshmallow and Sweet Street, whose highly anticipated launch is scheduled for November 15th. Built in suede, nubuck and microfiber, with an extra-soft colorway and texture that evoke the aesthetics of candy, Shadow 6000 Marshmallow features a colorful inner sole with a candy-themed pattern and custom packaging. Last but not least, Sweet Street is coming, inspired by amusement park sweets such as licorice, cotton candy and caramel. A super exclusive model that the rumors already give to steal even before the official launch.
