Outdoor classics reinterpreted in the Converse x Slam Jam capsule The absolute protagonist is the Bosey MC silhouette by Converse

Slam Jam and Converse have one thing in common: a love of subcultures. Both realities have won a place of honor in the world of youth aesthetics of the last thirty years and beyond: for Slam Jam thanks to a sharp ear always pointed to the latest evolutions of the underground world; for Converse thanks to a series of designs so versatile that they enter the aesthetic vocabulary of entire generations of cool kids from all over the world. These two heritages have now come into contact for a new collaboration, immortalized in the lookbook curated by art director Chris Glickman, who wants to use the unique touch of the two realities to reinterpret the outdoor lifestyle starting from one of Converse's most iconic silhouettes, the Bosey MC.

Converse's Bosey MC model made its return in style last year but its origin lies in the brand's historical archive: it is in fact inspired by the Lakestream Wading Shoe produced by Converse in 1940. The new version is made of glossy Lurex ripstop, a fabric very dear to the gorpcore trend, with a series of functional details such as rigging and fast lacing systems but also a special block of laces for a secure closure. Alongside the sneaker, there's also a techwear-inspired apparel range that includes a long-sleeved top, hoodie, ripstop pants, reversible Sherpa jacket, and a pouch shoulder strap.

The Converse x Slam Jam collection will be available from March 20th in an exclusive preview on slamjam.com and in Slam Jam stores, from March 25th onwards also globally on selected converse.com and stores.
