Nike ACG Holiday 2020 collection The latest gorpcore evolution between sustainability and performance

The constant evolution and recent popularity of the gorpcore trend, which has brought technical but also refined and cool mountain gear to the catwalks and streets, has always counted Nike among its most illustrious and authoritative exponents, the brand that with the ACG line has elevated the concept performancewear. Today Nike ACG unveils its Holiday 2020 apparel collection, that boasts also two shoe instalments. While aligned with Nike's program toward zero carbon and zero waste, ACG’s Holiday 2020 apparel collection still delivers style and functionality. Not only 85 per cent of the latest Nike ACG apparel collection containing more than 90 per cent recycled content, but the goal is to appreciate the outdoor surroundings and experience them while being conscious of the environment.

The Holiday 2020 collection is designed as a versatile layering system, and its inspiration is derived from Smith Rock — a volcanic structure located in central Oregon not far from the brand's global headquarters. All the pieces are named after Smith Rock’s trails, and rock shadings from the area served as graphic inspiration. The waterproof, windproof and breathable Nike ACG Misery Ridge GORE-TEX Jacket highlights the men and women’s collections and features GORE-TEX's three-layer fabric with 100 per cent recycled polyester on the exterior and interior layers. Alongside this staple, mid-layer pieces like the Nike ACG Rope De Dope Jacket (an insulated, packable puffer jacket) and the Nike ACG Polartec Wolf Tree Hoodie (a new fleece that uses 100 per cent recycled materials) serve as layering complements. Featured in the proposal are also the Nike Women’s ACG Rope De Dope Vest and Nike Women’s ACG Polartec Wolf Tree Crew and Pant.

Finally, the collection is completed by two shoe instalments for outdoor exploration: the new Nike ACG Mountain Fly GORE-TEX and a winter colourway update to the Nike ACG Air Nasu GORE-TEX.  Borrowing elements of the aesthetic and Nike React foam for comfort and energy return, the Nike ACG Mountain Fly GORE-TEX is highlighted by a GORE-TEX fabric upper and a bootie design to keep the elements out. With a waffle pattern outsole and multi-directional traction, the Nike ACG Mountain Fly GORE-TEX is built to tackle extremely rocky conditions.

The ACG Holiday 2020 Apparel Collection releases November 12 on the Nike App and nike.com. The Nike ACG Mountain Fly GORE-TEX releases November 12 on SNKRS, and the latest Nike ACG Air Nasu GORE-TEX colourway drops on the Nike App and nike.com November 12.
