adidas and Sfera Ebbasta Open a Recording Studio in Cinisello Balsamo A place where young artists can record their music for free

Following its participation to the adidasChange is a team sport campaign, shot by Jonah Hill and starring Blondey McCoy and Pharrell Williams to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the iconic adidas Superstar, Italian trapper Sfera Ebbasta and adidas officially opened a recording studio where young artists can record their music for free in Cinisello Balsamo (Milan), the town where the trapper was born and raised. The news was announced early this year with the launch of the campaign in January, but the project was slowed down by the COVID-19 pandemic. The opening has been confirmed by a post on @adidasita, the brand's official Italian Instagram account, with a video in which the project is explained by Sfera Ebbasta himself.

It doesn't matter what is your genre. The important thing is to change things, helping anyone who wants to do their music. The past few months have been really intense: together with adidas and in collaboration with Cross Radio and Indie Pride I created a recording studio in Cinisello, right where I started. Your studio is ready: it will be open to everyone and will allow anyone who hasn't the right tools to record for free their tracks. Use the studio and play your music. Do it together: change is a team play.

For Sfera Ebbasta it is like to come back to his roots: before being a judge on X-Factor Italia and being selected as the only Italian "changer" in the adidas campaign, he moved his first steps right in Cinisello Balsamo ("Ciny" for friends). "I have to thank all you, you are the reason why I am where I am", he told in the video where he presented the project; "Back when I started, my recording studio was my bedroom." At the very start of his career, the trapper even dedicated to Ciny one of his most famous tracks. The opening of this studio and the possibility to record for free for any emerging artist is a helpful step for all those who "want to rap as the guy from Ciny".
