adidas launches a 100% biodegradabile sneaker

adidas shows once again to be in line with the times, presenting an UltraBOOST sneaker which has a 100% biodegradable upper.

Although the new adidas Futurecraft Biofabric is still just a prototype, the company is actually investing to extend this innovative technology to other products. The upper, inspired by a spider web, is entirely made of “Biosteel Yarn”, which is as good as the yarns traditionally used for this kind of productions, even in terms of comfort.

The company hasn’t disclosed a release date yet, but they wish the new adidas Futurecraft Biofabric will be on sale sometime in 2017.
