Bad Bunny (Finally) Reveals His Highly Anticipated Collaboration with Zara After months of teasing, the collection will hit the shelves starting May 21st

From San Juan to Global Store Racks

Titled "Benito Antonio" —after the real name of Spotify's most-streamed artist— this highly anticipated collection drops on May 21st. However, a few lucky fans got an exclusive sneak peek this weekend during a special preview at the Plaza Las Américas shopping center in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The announcement of this partnership with the fast-fashion giant didn't come completely out of nowhere. The Puerto Rican artist had already chosen the Spanish brand for two major, high-profile public appearances: first during his Super Bowl halftime show, and more recently on the Met Gala red carpet. For the latter, he even disguised himself as an elderly man, making him completely unrecognizable to his former mother-in-law, Kris Jenner.

A Power Move at the Peak of Global Fashion

This collaboration comes at a major turning point for the retailer. According to Kantar, Zara has just overtaken Nike to become the most valuable fashion brand in the world. Its valuation has soared past $44 billion, boasting an 18% annual growth rate and relegating the sportswear giant to second place at $41 billion.

Long hesitant to team up with outside creators, the flagship brand of the Inditex group is shifting gears. Zara is now actively embracing hyper-focused, cutting-edge fashion collaborations, as seen in its recent partnerships with John Galliano and Willy Chavarria.

Streetwear, and an Iconic Suit

So, what can we actually expect? The collection perfectly mirrors Bad Bunny’s signature aesthetic. It features heavy streetwear vibes, cozy hoodies, oversized tees, and a vibrant, colorful palette. Fans will definitely spot the phrase "Nueva Yol" embroidered on one of the sweatshirts, a direct nod to one of the artist's tracks.

@nssmagazine Just a few days before the start of his world tour, Bad Bunny has teamed up with Zara for a capsule collection already available in store in Puerto Rico. The icing on the cake? The famous white suit worn by the star during his Super Bowl performance will also be available on the Spanish giant's racks. It's a look that already comes with its own history, even before officially hitting the market.

It is a blockbuster alliance set to take over stores, dropping just days before the Puerto Rican artist kicks off the European leg of his world tour. In France, the artist will be performing at the Paris Défense Arena on July 4th and 5th.
