Calomino, the new SS21 collection by Admiral Sporting Goods A British heritage icon

Admiral Sporting Goods, the historic British brand re-launched in September 2020, presented its SS21 collection, Calomino, inspired by the sporting origins of the Leicester brand. Calomino is the name of former Argentine winger  Pedro Calomino, a footballer of the Twenties and considered among the first great football players, inventor of the step over. Calomino's imagination, inspiration and talent outside the box inspired Admiral Sporting Goods for this line of garments, the second for the English brand after the closure of the sports section in the 1980s and the rebirth as an off-the-pitch brand.

In fact, Admiral Sportin Goods was an institution for the supply of sport material for English and Scottish clubs (as well as national teams) from the 1920s to the 1980s, and as Calomino, breaking the mould, wrote a part of the sport's aesthetic history. The garments of this collection are connected to Admiral's tradition in the field for both materials and cutting: for example, the long-sleeved t-shirt (the "Warren" model) is a modern makeover of the very first models of football jerseys of the 1920s, with striped colors and cotton typical of that period. In addition to the t-shirt, in the selection of garments there are sweatshirts (zip and without), jackets and shorts, with a seams that follow the lines of the past. Although the garments are vintage models, Admiral Sportin Goods has worked on the quality of fabrics, especially in cotton types.
