Last Saturday, the exhibition Homeland took place at BASE in Milan. On display were paintings by Mosa One and photographs by Marco Russo, produced by Aya Mohamed, aka Milanpyramid. The exhibition was the culmination between the conversation with the audience that preceded it and the DJ set that followed it. The themes addressed in the work of Italian-Egyptian artist Mosa One had to do with the concept of 'belonging', which was explored through the archetype of the house and its representations. In a path that starts from the individual self and then moves towards the relationship between the self and the social contexts that surround it, finally arriving at the final step of spiritual awareness, the photographer explores human history through his own personal destiny in a story through images that hovers between Milan and Cairo.
