Celebrating 10 years of connecting cultures
Back in 2012, things were very different. Streetwear, for example, had not yet shaken the foundations of the fashion industry, changing it forever. Naples, the city in which the adventure of nss magazine began, did not yet have the aesthetic status that is now recognized by fashion and culture magazines all around the world. Then as now, the goal of nss magazine has always been the same: cultural hunting to immortalize and share the present in order to understand what will become a phenomenon tomorrow. To begin celebrating its first 10 years of activity, nss launches nssx, a collaborative and celebratory project that aims to tell a journey that started in Naples, is currently passing through Milan, and is soon going international. nssx will have the magazine materialize in a 2.0 newsstand: a place where the digital will become physical, and the physical will become digital, uniting the two souls that have always characterized the commitment of nss magazine.
To celebrate nssx, 10 creatives, brands, and media have been asked to interpret their relationship with nss by reimagining it as a design. All the designs will then be put on tees that will be on sale at the symbolic price of 10 euros in a project that involves the realities that are part of the closest and longest collaborators of nss magazine. Through a way of perceiving the media as collaborative was born an artistic and educational ecosystem that has led nss to collaborate with European, American, and Asian realities over the years.
Intended as marking the beginning of the path that will accompany nss to the end of 2022, nssx will start celebrating on the 20th of September in Milan, during fashion week, with an exclusive party next to the newsstand. On the 29th, which marks the end of the pop-up, nssx will move to Paris and continue to live in digital form by announcing the opening of the nss Digital Archive, where 10 years of street style have been collected and will be shared. Starting from the street to uncover and share to the world the cultural and generational phenomena has always been the mission inherent to the nature of nss, which meets its readers in a unique event of its kind.
