Zeekr at Alcova alongside Fuorisalone 2026 When electric mobility enters the independent design ecosystem
The presence of Zeekr at Milano Design Week 2026 tells a story that goes beyond a simple visibility operation. The premium electric brand, distributed in Italy by Jameel Motors, has chosen to complement its own exhibition space with a partnership with Alcova as Exclusive Car Partner, a role that says a great deal about the direction the brand wants to take in the European market and in its dialogue with design culture.
Alcova has for years been one of the most anticipated and selective fixtures of the Milanese calendar: an independent ecosystem, removed from official circuits, that privileges the quality of research over the scale of visibility. Every year it attracts an international community of designers, architects and researchers who have made it one of the most reliable barometers of contemporary design culture. For Zeekr, aligning itself with this context was a genuine declaration of intent.
This year Alcova unfolds across Villa Pestarini and the former Military Hospital of Baggio, two historic and layered locations transformed for one week into a diffuse landscape of installations and encounters. The physical distance between the two venues becomes an opportunity for Zeekr to interpret its role in concrete terms: a dedicated shuttle service connects the locations, accompanying visitors, artists and designers in their movements between sites. Mobility, in this sense, is not the means to reach the cultural experience but becomes a constituent part of it.
Design Week 2026 also marks the Italian debut of the Zeekr 7GT, a premium electric sedan designed at the Global Design Center in Gothenburg under the direction of Stefan Sielaff — previously head of design at Bentley and Volkswagen. The car expresses an idea of discreet luxury oriented towards experience: taut lines, grand tourer proportions, an 800V architecture for ultra-fast charging and a 0-100 km/h in 3.3 seconds that defines the character of the car without making it the sole argument.
Completing the week, the Zeekr Café set up outside Showroom 31: an informal space designed to welcome creatives, journalists and visitors, where the brand's identity translates into concrete hospitality. As Marco Santucci, Managing Director of Jameel Motors Italia for Geely and Zeekr, stated, the goal was not to sponsor an event but to inhabit an ecosystem, bringing premium electric mobility into a conversation about design that the brand considers as relevant as it is natural.
