The Redroom Club in Milan hosts Effetto Notte Curated by Ardere, an evening combining cinema, music, and art

On October 8, the RedRoom Members Club hosts EFFETTO NOTTE, an event organized by Ardere that explores the night as a language, a space of possibilities, and a stage for encounters and experimentation. During the evening, a suspended territory will take shape where images overlap with sounds and the intimate dimension of the club transforms into a sensitive laboratory. At the center of the event is the projection-performance curated by Andrea Vailati and Tommaso Paris of ArteSettima, guiding the audience on a journey through cinematic nights, from the fantastic moons of Méliès to the disturbing atmospheres of A Clockwork Orange, and up to the fragmentations of contemporary art.

With live music by LOST IQ, a trio formed in 2023 that blends Mediterranean jazz, funk, and rock, cinema and sound create a collective performance, whose emotional dimension intensifies, transforming darkness into living matter. In the club’s niches, the work Ugly on the cover of time by Jacopo Rinaldi delves into the theme of communication and the rituality of gesture through video and drawing. Starting from Rainer Werner Fassbinder’s right hand in a 1978 interview, Rinaldi explores how an image extracted from its context can alter meaning and become an autonomous symbol, while the repeated act of smoking and consuming a pack of cigarettes creates a hypnotic rhythm, a fragment of a broader discourse on memory and time. The evening will close with the DJ set by Perez Confidential.

With EFFETTO NOTTE, Ardere confirms its ability to create sensitive landscapes where art is not just to be observed, but to be experienced, immersing oneself in different languages that interact with each other and transforming darkness into a fertile space for discovery. The night thus becomes a place of collective experimentation, where cinema, music, and visual arts intertwine and offer the audience the possibility to inhabit the darkness with fresh eyes.
