5 things to do in Milan this weekend From 19 to 21 April

This week, every corner of Milan is invaded by events of the Design Week. Whether it's a workshop, a pop-up, an installation, or an immersive exhibition, every street of the capital hosts a project of the Furniture Week. Despite nss having already unveiled the entire list of unmissable events to discover these days on the Design Week map, our weekly column with the best suggestions for a rich weekend in Milan cannot be missed. So here are 5 things to do in Milan these days.

Where to eat - Caciara

If you're in the mood to make some noise this weekend, Caciara is the place to be. With interiors that pay homage to 1930s futurism and Italian design traditions, Caciara's spaces host warm and overwhelming evenings. During Design Week, the restaurant has opened an Apecar in vicolo Piero Manzoni, a corner to enjoy street food and cool drinks in a small shaded outdoor area. Every Friday and Saturday, as always, after dinner, the tables are moved, the music volume is raised, and the racket begins.

What to discover - VAN ORTON x 24Bottles

This Design Week, the water bottle brand 24Bottles has collaborated with the collective Van Orton to launch two exclusive versions of the Clima Bottle, characterized by artwork that mixes elements of the animal world to reflect on society today. During the event Eyes On Future: looking at the invisible, at the 24Bottles store, the public can experience their creativity with bottle customization, urban art, and finally have fun with a basketball tournament. The project emphasizes the importance of sustainability and art for a better future.

Where to chill - Bar Unikko

If after hours of wandering the streets of downtown Milan you feel the need to savor a good coffee or a refreshing cocktail, you must discover Bar Unikko. During the Furniture Week, the Finnish design brand Marimekko celebrates the sixtieth anniversary of the Unikko print by dressing the interiors of a bar in the heart of the city. An installation that comes to life in collaboration with Apartamento, Bar Unikko presents new collections of the brand in limited edition, community activities, and colorful breakfasts and aperitifs.

Where to shop - nss newsstand

After last weekend's record-breaking inauguration, the new nss newsstand dedicated to the Digital Cover I Hate You Milano I Love You is ready to present the new drops from the nss store. From water bottles in collaboration with 24 bottles to Milan-themed shirts, from accessories in partnership with the ironic and iconic meme page @melodyseilatop to the most suggestive photographic posters, at the nss newsstand you can find a solution for every whim.

Where to club - The Offline Party

This weekend, Heineken has organized an evening to celebrate offline connections, where the rule is to abandon phones and fully enjoy the moment. On Friday, April 19, the brand invites you to The Offline Party, a sensory experience that tells the pleasures of a life away from the internet. The evening represents a nostalgic experiment: participants can take a dip into the past and discover The Boring Phone, a phone that only features essential functions like making and receiving calls and text messages, to return to the "technological calm" of the past.
