The collaboration between Octopus and Mantero Seta

Octopus and Mantero Seta, streetwear and tailoring tradition: the two brands have collaborated for a special collection. As distant as the two worlds may seem, they both stand out for their ability to create true icons and for their desire to embody a 100% Italian product, from thought to production. Mantero in Como, where creatives, craftsmen and technicians bring their talents together, from design to finishing via printing and hemming. Octopus in the Varese factory - where prototypes are brought to life and most of the production takes place - and in the new Milan headquarters, where garments are conceived and developed.

An impromptu conversation ensued where Mantero's artists hand-drew four illustrations and managed to combine Octopus' tentacles with classic nature-inspired motifs from Mantero's incredibly rich archive. Octopus then used Mantero's illustrations and printing techniques to create luxurious versions of its classic hoodies and T-shirts. The results are silk scarves, t-shirts, hoodies, a Harrington jacket, chino trousers and a double-sided silk shirt. The silk garments are printed on both sides in register thanks to special state-of-the-art printers, creating a unique effect.
