KFC made a Y2K-style bag

Even fast food restaurants give in to trends

KFC made a Y2K-style bag Even fast food restaurants give in to trends

The Y2K aesthetic fever has so disrupted the world of fashion that it is gradually affecting every area of our lives, from cubbing to technology to fast food. The latest 0's style gimmick involves one of America's best-loved chains, KFC, which has released an exceptional lunch box to celebrate the launch of its new £1.98 Twister Wrap. The 'Wrapuette' is an oblong silhouette baguette in the signature bright red shade, which even boasts the face of Colonel Sanders and charms bearing the letters of KFC.

The fast food giant is adopting a deceptively 'impactful' marketing strategy, since before the 'Y2K lunch box' it had been the turn of giant pillows in the shape of fried chicken sandwiches. But what is most surprising is surely the price: £198 for a limited edition bag released by a fast food chain. Although, after all, the proceeds will be spent on a good cause, the KFC Foundation, in an initiative that provides financial assistance and support to students and employees pursuing higher education.
