New Balance celebrates 20 years of the 991 with a special edition

First released in 2001, the New Balance 991 celebrates its twentieth anniversary with a special edition designed to celebrate one of the icons of the sneaker game and of normcore aesthetic. Launched as the predecessor of the 990v2, the 991 model was the first in the 99x series to feature an ABZORB insert in the forefoot, thus combining comfort and style in a single sneaker. Features that have elected it a real must-have for artists, creatives or simple enthusiasts, becoming the protagonist of numerous collaborations, from Patta to KITH, up to the one with One Block Down.

Throughout 2021, New Balance will celebrate 991 by giving space to those who have helped bring this new era to life. To do so, it will release a number of special editions of the sneaker throughout the year, new unprecedented colorways designed to please fans and celebrate in the best way the history of a sneaker capable of imposing itself in the collective imagination.

The M991ANI and W991ANI will be available worldwide starting February 26 with a retail price of €200 while the collection will see additional colours during the year.
