One sole and one hundred uppers

ACBC's modular sneakers One sole and one hundred uppers

«Anything Can Be Changed», this is the motto that hides in the name of ACBC, an Italian company founded by Gio Giacobbe and Edoardo Iannuzzi, and specialized in sustainable footwear. The idea behind the brand's footwear represents the compromise between continuous search for the new and sustainability thanks to the technology patented by the two, that is, that of Zip Shoe. ACBC's sneakers are fully modular and modular and, thanks to a zip, allow you to mount up to a hundred different uppers on the same sole – with the consequence of maing the life cycle of their products way longer. By purchasing a single sole and several skins it will be possible to halve the carbon dioxide emissions caused by the production of the factories: the production of the sole is in fact the most polluting process of the manufacture of a sneaker.

The removable "skin" of the sneaker, i.e. its upper, allows an 80% space saving compared to traditional footwear. ACBC sneakers are all built from bio-based, recycled and animal-free materials: from corn fiber faux leather to organic cotton and RPet. The sole protagonist of the most recent collection is called Modulo 4, available for both men and women, and can be transformed into both low-top and high-top, as well as taking on as many colorways as there are skins, with the simple shot of a zip.

The sneaker from ACBC's FW21 collection is already available online on the brand's official website.
