UPDATE: After leaks and mysterious videos posted by Nike, it's the sportswear giant to unveil now the full collection made in collaboration with Stranger Things, as anticipation of the release of the third season of the show, set for July 4 on Netflix

At Nike, 1985 was the year visible Air began to take shape (realized two years later in the Air Max I) and when the iconic Dunk emerged on collegiate basketball courts. Meanwhile, the Cortez, Blazer and Tailwind remained sport and style staples, granting a timely authenticity to the Stranger Things collection. The first drop of the collaborative capsule incorporates Hawkins High's green and orange color scheme and Tiger mascot into a spirited mix of apparel and footwear. Sweat suits and complementary T-shirts channel 1980s phys-ed class style, and three sneakers match accordingly. The pieces launch June 27.

A second drop of shoes arrive July 1. Dubbed the "OG Pack," each shoe carries a red, white and blue color scheme and celebrates 1985 Independence Day with a year marker on the heel and special firework display sock liner.

 

 

 

The start of the third season of Stranger Things, scheduled for July 4 on Netflix, is now imminent. Fans can't wait to know what will happen in the new episodes and brands take advantage by launching projects and special products dedicated to the world of Eleven & co., from the collection with H&M to the LEGO set, from the vintage can of Coca-Cola to videogames.

In recent weeks, however, there are rumours that consider ready a collaboration between the TV series and Nike. According to leaks released by experts such as @pyleaks, the two partners have created a capsule that includes a wide range of T-shirts, sweatshirts and pants, as well as a cap, with prices that should range from €32 to €74. The selection of garments could be enriched by sneakers, probably a Blazer Mid, a Tailwind and a Cortez.

In the last few hours, Nike has released a video that seems to confirm the collection with Stranger Things. It's a few seconds that, in the style of an 80s advertisement (the same period in which the show is set), show the image of a truck of the company parked. Below there is a telephone number and a reference to a shipment that has been missing since 1985. Calling the number you hear an audio recording of two people talking about this missing Nike shipment that has now been located moving west. A man tells the woman that he needs to meet her in very specific coordinates on Wednesday, June 12. Where do the coordinates lead? At a location just east of the Staples Center in Los Angeles, an empty parking lot. Ready to participate in the scavenger hunt?
