At the "Nike On Air Contest" during TalkSole event in Honk Hong, Hiroshi Fujiwara – head of fragment design – made a presentation talking about his previous Nike collaborations.
During his speech, the present audience noticed that Hiroshi was wearing a pair of never seen before Air Jordan 3, which would be a never released sample.
With a simple colour scheme, the Air Jordan 3 x fragment looks like a revisitation of the OG Fire Red colourway, but a black smooth leather panel replaces the elephant print parts and red details are replaced by blue ones. Finishing the design is the iconic lightning bolt logo and the SU17-MNJDLS - TOOLING CODE: OS51 / fragment midsole script.
According to Hiroshi Fujiwara, the Air Jordan 3 fragment edition are not slated for the public. They are just a sample.
