The SS18 collection created by Karl Lagerfeld mixes the futuristic current with the colors and flavors of the tropics in search of extreme lightness, recounted through transparent, mesh, nylon, and organza effects. So Balla meets the Brazilian modernism of Lina Bo Bardi and Oscar Niemeyer; stripes and checks coexist with leaves and flowers; transparencies with tech hints; cuts, folds and architectural constructions find harmony next to the coral and ocean tones.

The silhouettes of the clothes focuses on the shoulders, highlighted by ad hoc cuts or plunging necklines, below the collarbone; the jackets are tightened at the waist; knitwear serves as a foundation to overlay transparencies dusters and blouses; the skirts are midi. If laser embroidery, belts and ribbons adorn dresses and jackets, the starring role goes to the tropical nature, ferns, flowers, but also to the paintings, the lines often cross, and the double “F” logo.

The precious touch? Hair and make-up: mermaid hair in a futuristic version for Fendi girls.

Karl Lagerfeld and the legendary hair stylist Sam McKnight create for Hadid sisters, for Vittoria Ceretti, Mica Arganaraz and all other models a look faux garçonne realized with a low tail.

The cool touch? A side bang in shades of turquoise, electric blue and dark blue.
